Raven’s Heart wasn’t the only book to feature the World of Secramore at Gen Con this year. C.E. Rocco, editor of Dragon Roots Magazine, put together an anthology book by the “authors of the alley” of Gen Con 2009 entitled Missing Pieces. For their contribution, Matthew & Stefanie donated The Hawk’s Shadow. This new short story tells a tale of Hawkwing and the White Demon and helps bridge the gap between Raven’s Heart and The forthcoming Black Earth Trilogy. It is a must read for all of the Citizens of Secramore and is now available at Barnes & Noble’s website.
The anthology also features the works of C.S. Marks, Maxwell Alexander Drake, V.J.Waks, Dylan Birtolo, Tracy R. Chowdhury, Todd Austin Hunt, and C.E.Rocco himself. It’s been a year since Matthew and Stefanie traveled to Indianapolis to promote Raven’s Heart. With a few new tricks up their sleeves and a brand new edition of their book, the authors ventured back to the gaming Mecca in hopes of securing new readers and friends. A Fresh Start for Raven's Heart

"Put your best foot forward.” It’s an expression that has haunted the minds of Matthew and Stefanie Verish since the Raven’s Heart “duology” was first published through iUniverse. Dissatisfied with how the novels had been published, the authors had to make a decision as to where to place their efforts: begin writing the Black Earth trilogy or give Raven’s Heart an overhaul to see it done right.
