Originally presented as two individual novels (An Unlikely Journey [2007] and An Unlikely Reunion [2008]), Raven’s Heart presents the core story as it was originally intended by the authors. It is the story of a band of misfits, joined together by chance, to save a world that often turns its back to them. Their story is one of hope, courage, self-sacrifice and help from the most unlikely sources. Matthew and Stefanie Verish paint a very real picture of the choices individuals are forced to make when faced with near insurmountable odds and a destiny not of their choosing. Readers, young and old alike, will see a glimmer of their own lives in the novel’s rich characters and settings and find themselves along for the ride of this first unlikely journey into the World of Secramore.
